The Sport Loft Team
The son of two ski instructors, Jeremy began skiing at the age of 5. For the past 14 seasons, he has fit boots at The Sport Loft. Jeremy has studied bio mechanics and orthotics in Voiron France and continually updates his training. He has expanded bio mechanical alignment and orthotic services to include hiking, running, biking and adventure sports.
A skier since the age of 6, Earl taught skiing for Alta's Alf Engen Ski School from 1967 through 1978. He remembers skiing Snowbird before it was Snowbird, at times when he tired of crossing his own tracks at Alta. Earl's boot fitting expertise has made countless feet happier throughout his more than 41 years in the business; his personal touch and superb sense of customer service set Earl apart.
Jeremy's wife Lindsey is new CFO, managing the books and has kept our clothing lines fresh and new for many years. Lindsey also handles our advertising and newsletters.
Lindsey's other full time job is raising her two sons.
Derek is a Boise native who simply loves skiing.
His love for skiing led him to move from Idaho to Utah, in order to experience "The Greatest Snow on Earth."
When not skiing, Derek enjoys rafting and all things outdoors.
Mike is an Iowa native who lives for the excitement and adventure of the outdoors. He decided to move to Salt Lake City shortly before graduating from college. When not working, Mike can be found on his bikes or hilking, taking in the views. He brings a lot of laughter and smiles to the shop and aspires to continue the Sport Loft tradition of world-class boot fitting.
Introduced to skiing at age 13, Chris really fell in love with skiing in the form of a red ski-sweatered young ski instructor named Earl.
She taught skiing at Alta from 1969 to 1976. Her favorite Alta memory is of skiing with Alf Engen and thinking, "This guy skis like a freight train!"
Lady is in attendance most days, except Saturday.
"Everybody loves Lady!"
